The episode includes footage of deputies pulling over multiple vehicles for excessive speeding and unsafe behaviors. Sheriff Ivey appears in the video, warning drivers that the campaign aims to reduce fatal crashes. 'We’re out here to save lives,' he says during the ride-along, which highlights the sheriff’s office working with the Florida Highway Patrol to increase enforcement.
The crackdown follows data showing a spike in crashes along I-95 in Brevard County. Officials identified the stretch between the Melbourne and Palm Bay areas as a high-risk zone. The initiative, which began in early 2026, has already led to over 200 traffic stops in the first two months. 'Speeding is a choice, and it’s costing people their lives,' said a deputy during the video.
