Brevard County's newest waterfront dining and entertainment hub, Lakeside Social, opens its doors to the public on Aug. 27 at 2431 Town Center Ave. in Viera. The venue will host its first guests from 5-9 p.m. with food, drinks, live music and a preview of its year-round event calendar. The 1,000-person open-air space features a wave-shaped bar overlooking the lake, two bars serving craft beer and cocktails, and four permanent food concepts from Rogue Wave Hospitality.

The main bar has 16 draft taps showcasing Florida craft beers, along with cocktails, wine, frozen drinks and coffee. A second bar near the event lawn will serve guests during concerts and festivals. Food options include pizza from DOUGH. Pizza Co., Asian street food from 4th Street Fillin' Station, pasta and seafood from Modern Asian Curated Street Foods, and desserts from BeeG's Sweet Shack. Two additional food concepts will rotate seasonally, giving local chefs a chance to operate in the space.

Rogue Wave Hospitality, which also runs Dirty Birds Tiki Bar & Grill and The Alibi Cocktails & Bites, will manage all food and beverage operations. The venue is part of Lakeside at Viera Town Center, a mixed-use development by The Viera Company. The Central Viera Community Association plans to host free festivals, holiday events and other gatherings at the park throughout the year.

The venue’s opening comes as Viera continues to expand its dining scene. Located at the edge of the lake, the space allows guests to enjoy meals while watching boats pass by. No tickets are required for the opening event, though food and drinks will be available for purchase.
