Auditions for Brevard’s Got Talent close April 2, with the event scheduled for June 6 at FIT Clemente Center to benefit the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity, Inc. Sheriff Wayne Ivey said the fundraiser will feature performers from across the Space Coast, including singers, dancers, comedians, and other acts. The event is part of the Sheriff’s Pet Posse initiative, which supports animal rescue programs in the county.
Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. April 2 and can be submitted online at bcsocharity.org. The website includes a direct link to the audition application. Ivey encouraged residents to participate, calling the event a chance to showcase local talent while supporting community causes. ‘This is about bringing people together and raising funds for important work,’ he said in a statement.
The June 6 event will take place at the FIT Clemente Center, 1001 N. Atlantic Ave. in Cocoa. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with performances starting at 6 p.m. Admission is free, but attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food donations for local food banks. The event will include a raffle, concessions, and a meet-and-greet with performers.
The Sheriff’s Office Charity, Inc. has raised over $200,000 since its inception in 2019, according to Ivey. Funds support the Sheriff’s Pet Posse, which provides medical care, spaying/neutering, and adoption services for stray and surrendered animals. Last year’s event drew more than 800 attendees and featured 25 acts.
Audition guidelines require participants to submit a video or live demo of their performance by the deadline. Judges will select finalists based on originality, skill, and audience appeal. Finalists will be notified by May 1 and invited to rehearse at the FIT Clemente Center in late May.
