Eastern Florida State College Foundation officials confirmed on August 25, 2026 that Guy and Delores Spearman donated $52,500 to fund three programs. The money will support the Spearman Family Cocoa High Endowed Scholarship, the Tigers to Titans Welding program at the college, and the Cocoa High School Cocoa Champions program. The donation comes through a partnership involving Elevate Brevard, Family Promise Space Coast, and Cocoa High School.
The Spearman Family Cocoa High Endowed Scholarship will provide ongoing financial aid for students attending Cocoa High School. The Tigers to Titans Welding program, part of the college’s workforce development initiatives, will use the funds for equipment and training materials. The Cocoa Champions program, which focuses on student leadership and community service at Cocoa High, will also receive long-term support.
The donation was announced during a joint event between Eastern Florida State College and Health First, which also hosted an EMS Skills Fair earlier in August. Foundation officials said the gift reflects the Spearman’s commitment to education and workforce training in Brevard County.
The partnership between the college, Elevate Brevard, Family Promise Space Coast, and Cocoa High School was formed to address gaps in student support and career readiness. The funds will be managed by the Eastern Florida State College Foundation and distributed annually.
