Brevard County high school seniors are finalizing their plans to play college sports, with several athletes signing letters of intent at ceremonies this month. Holy Trinity High School held its event on April 16, featuring Noah Thatcher, who will play baseball at Pikeville University, and Evan Spreitzer, who has committed to track and field at Furman University. Other athletes from the ceremony include Rico Buitrago, who will join Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s football team, and Julianna Pedicini, who will compete in track and field at Nova Southeastern University.
Melbourne Central Catholic High School is set to host its signing ceremony on May 18 at 6 p.m. Antonio Hunter, a football player, has committed to Valdosta State University, while Madelyn Oesterle will play softball at New College of Florida. The ceremony will also include Carmello Williams, who has signed with Bluffton University, and Jahlani Clarke, who will join Stetson University’s football program.
Merritt Island High School held its ceremony on April 20, with David Serrano committing to wrestle at Northern Michigan University. Other athletes from the event include Nolan West and Landon Quiroga, who both signed with Mercyhurst University for wrestling, and Kylee Thompson, who will play indoor volleyball at Indian River State College.
Cocoa Beach High School’s signing ceremony is scheduled for May 13 at 6:30 p.m., though the list of athletes has not yet been finalized. Additional signings may be added as schools report updates. The full list of commitments will be updated as more information becomes available.
