The Boots, Brews, Bourbon & BBQ Music Fest will take place Saturday, March 28, at the Merritt Island Veterans Amphitheater. The event runs from noon to 10 p.m., featuring live music, food vendors, and activities for attendees. Organizers said the festival will include complimentary beer and bourbon samplings, along with barbecue offerings from multiple vendors. The event will also host the Best Dressed Cowboy & Cowgirl Contest, adding a competitive edge to the festivities.

Live music performances will begin in the afternoon and continue into the evening, with multiple bands scheduled to play throughout the day. The amphitheater’s open space will allow for easy movement between food stations, drink sampling areas, and game booths. Attendees can expect a mix of Southern-inspired cuisine and craft beverages, with vendors selling everything from smoked brisket to craft brews.

The festival is organized by the Merritt Island Parks and Recreation Department, which has hosted similar events in previous years. No tickets are required for entry, though organizers encouraged attendees to arrive early for the best selection of food and drink samples. Local musicians and regional bands will perform, with a focus on country, rock, and blues genres.

Games and contests will be available throughout the day, including a kids’ zone with face painting and balloon animals. The Best Dressed Cowboy & Cowgirl Contest will take place at 6 p.m., with prizes awarded for the most creative outfits. The event is part of a series of summer festivals planned for Merritt Island, which also includes the annual Bluegrass on the Beach concert in July.
