The fried chicken and biscuit chain Bojangles is opening a new location in Melbourne, adding to its growing presence on the Space Coast. The restaurant will serve the chain's signature Southern-style comfort food, including its famous chicken sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items. The new spot will be located at 1234 Palm Boulevard, near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way and New Haven Avenue.
The restaurant will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with a separate breakfast menu available until 11 a.m. The menu includes items like the Original Bojangles' Chicken Sandwich, which features a crispy fried chicken breast on a toasted brioche bun, and the Bojangles' Biscuit, a buttermilk biscuit served with honey butter.
The new location will employ approximately 40 people, with hiring expected to begin in the coming weeks. The restaurant will feature a layout designed for both quick service and table seating, with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for families and groups.
The opening date has not been announced yet, but the restaurant is expected to open in late 2023. The owner of the franchise, John Smith, said the location will serve as a community hub. 'We want this to be a place where people can gather, enjoy good food, and feel at home,' Smith said.
The restaurant will be the chain's fifth location in Brevard County, joining existing spots in Cocoa, Titusville, Palm Bay, and Rockledge. The new Melbourne location will be the first Bojangles in the city, according to franchise records.
