The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels closed out the 2026 Cocoa Beach Air Dot Show on Sunday with a high-speed performance over the Atlantic Ocean. The event, held along the Cocoa Beach shoreline at Lori Wilson Park, drew thousands of spectators who gathered to watch the elite flight demonstration team’s aerobatics. The show ran April 11–12 and featured the Blue Angels’ F/A-18 Super Hornets performing maneuvers against the ocean backdrop.
The free public event included patriotic tributes and aviation displays, with the Blue Angels’ routines highlighting precision flying and U.S. Navy traditions. Spectators filled the beach and park areas, some bringing chairs and blankets to watch from the shoreline. The performances took place over the water, with planes flying low enough for crowds to see the aircraft’s markings and hear the engines.
The Air Dot Show is an annual event that brings aviation enthusiasts to Brevard County. This year’s edition marked the first time the Blue Angels headlined the show, which organizers said drew more attendees than in previous years. Local businesses reported increased foot traffic on the weekend, with nearby restaurants and shops benefiting from the influx of visitors.
The Blue Angels’ appearance was the highlight of the two-day event, which also included static displays of military aircraft and educational exhibits about aviation history. The show concluded at dusk on Sunday, with the team performing a final routine before departing for their next tour stop.
The Air Dot Show is hosted by the Cocoa Beach Chamber of Commerce and supported by local sponsors. Organizers said they are already planning for next year’s event, which will return to the same location in 2027.
