Cocoa Beach High School claimed a 35-14 win over St. Lucie West Centennial in a game played at Cocoa Beach High’s new turf field. Senior running back Jamal Thompson rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing the team’s offensive depth. The win was the first for the Sharks since the 2024 season, and head coach Lisa Martinez praised the defense’s ability to limit turnovers. “We’ve been working on our tackling all summer,” Martinez said. “It showed tonight.”
