The Air Dot Show Cocoa Beach will include a U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress bomber and an F-16 Viper Demonstration Team as part of its lineup on April 11-12. The event will take place along the Cocoa Beach shoreline with Lori Wilson Park on State Road A1A as the show center. Admission is free, though premium tickets offering shaded seating and meals are available. Bryan Lilley, the air show organizer, confirmed the B-52 was the event's 'mystery performer' on March 23. He described the bomber as 'as big as a football field' with eight engines, creating a 'great show' due to its massive wingspan. The B-52's appearance will join the Blue Angels, F-16 Viper, WWII-era B-25J Mitchell bomber, P-51 Mustang, and the U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team. The F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, based at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, will perform at Cocoa Beach as part of its 23-show national tour. This will be the team's third Florida appearance, with future stops including Punta Gorda and Stuart. The F-16 team recently unveiled a red, white, and blue aircraft paint scheme. Lilley emphasized the B-52's visual impact, noting it 'takes up an immense amount of the sky' when flying. The event's website offers premium ticket options, but general admission remains free. The air show is expected to draw thousands to the Cocoa Beach area, with performances scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
