The Space Coast nonprofit 321Empowerment will hold its fifth event on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Melbourne Campus of Eastern Florida State College, 3865 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, Florida. The free program targets student-athletes in grades 9-12 and runs from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Registration is available online.
The event’s theme is emotional intelligence, with speeches from Max Siegel, CEO of USA Track and Field and NASCAR racing owner, and Courtney Cadore, a collegiate cheer and dance head coach and former NFL cheer coach. Siegel, a University of Notre Dame alum, and Cadore, a Florida A&M University alum, will share insights during the afternoon session. The program is designed to help student-athletes develop skills beyond sports.
Ray Herring II, founder of 321Empowerment, said the event aims to address challenges faced by young athletes. 'We want to equip them with tools to handle pressure, build confidence, and make better decisions,' he said in a prior statement. The nonprofit has held similar events since 2022, focusing on mental health, leadership, and academic success.
The event is part of a broader effort to support student-athletes in Brevard County. Past attendees have included participants from local high schools such as Satellite High, Eau Gallie High, and Mitchell High. The program does not require prior registration, but organizers encourage sign-ups to ensure enough meals and materials for all attendees.
