Every white square belongs to an Across and a Down answer. Tap a square to select it; tap it again to switch direction. Use the letter keys below or type on your computer. Arrow keys move between squares; Backspace erases; Enter or Space changes direction. Tab moves between controls; Escape pauses.

Typing moves to the next empty square ahead in the word, or the next editable square if those are filled. Use the clue arrows to move on. Check word marks incorrect letters with an ×. Reveal letter fills the selected square and marks it with a dot. Checks, reveals and Show mistakes count as assistance. Revealed letters stay in place until you restart.

The optional clock counts active time while enabled and pauses when you leave the tab. Progress saves on this browser and device. Clearing browser data removes it. Finish a previously unsolved puzzle on consecutive Eastern calendar days to build a streak. Replays and multiple puzzles on the same day do not add extra streak days.
