Brevard voter-registration deadline is October 5

Monday is the registration deadline for the November 3 general election. Mail-ballot requests and early voting follow a separate schedule; the county provides tools to check your record and polling place.

Brevard residents who need to register to vote in the November 3, 2026, general election have until Monday, October 5. The county Supervisor of Elections lists that date as the close of registration for this election.

The registration deadline comes before both early voting and the deadline to request a ballot by mail. Here are the dates and official tools to use, checked October 1.

Check your registration first

The county’s voter information lookup lets you review and update your registration, check your mail-ballot status, find your Election Day polling place and view your sample ballot. If you need to register, its registration page links to Florida’s online system and a printable application to sign and return to an elections office.

For help with your circumstances or a paper application, the elections office lists 321-290-8683. Its administrative offices in Titusville, Viera, Melbourne and Palm Bay are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except observed holidays.

Mail ballots have a separate deadline

The last day to request a mail ballot to be sent for this election is Thursday, October 22, at 5 p.m. That is a request deadline, not the deadline to register and not permission to wait until then to begin registration.

Returning a completed ballot is a separate step. The county’s return instructions cover mailing it or using a secure ballot intake station during operating hours. Check those instructions and your ballot’s status through the county’s official tools.

Early voting and Election Day use different rules

Early voting runs October 19–31. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. Registered voters may use any Brevard early-voting site, regardless of their residential address.

On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and you must use your precinct’s polling place. Use the county’s lookup before choosing where to go; an early-voting location is not automatically your Election Day location.
