Our February 19, 2026 article included an unsupported fire-reporting hotline and details we could not substantiate about wildfire statistics, equipment, inspections, outreach and attributed quotations. Those details have been removed from this account.
Contemporary reporting by Space Coast Daily supports Palm Bay Fire Rescue’s heightened readiness and additional brush-unit staffing during dry conditions. It does not support the expanded statistics, hotline or attributed quotations in our version.
Do not use 321-555-FIRE as an agency contact. It was not in the contemporaneous source report and is not one of the 555 services NANPA lists as remaining in use.
