Correction: Adam Dyer's Brevard commission candidacy and 2026 voting dates
Our earlier report misstated when Dyer entered the county commission race and gave incorrect voting dates. The official records clarify the timeline.
An earlier version of this article incorrectly described Adam Dyer's candidacy as newly announced and gave April 5 and November 8 as voting dates. Those statements were wrong.
Brevard's official 2026 candidate register lists Dyer's announcement on September 2, 2025, qualification on June 8, 2026, and defeat in the primary.
The 2026 primary took place on August 18. Primary early voting ran August 8–15. The general election is November 3. The November date is countywide voting guidance, not an upcoming Dyer contest.
This correction replaces the previous candidate profile. It does not repeat the earlier campaign-platform, turnout or biographical claims, which we have not substantiated. For current voting information, use the Brevard Supervisor of Elections links below.
