Brevard District 4 primary: corrected 2026 dates and current voting guidance

Correction — October 8, 2026: Our July 31 report misstated the primary, early-voting and candidate-filing dates, candidate status and the previous District 4 election result. Unsupported voter and polling-location counts have been removed. The original publication date is retained.

The completed primary

Brevard County’s 2026 primary was held August 18. Early voting ran August 8–15, and registration closed July 20. For county-office candidates using petitions, the deadline was noon May 11; qualifying ran from noon June 8 to noon June 12. These dates have passed.

Adam Dyer and incumbent Rob Feltner were qualified Republican candidates when the July 31 report appeared. The cited voter guide then described a possible November contest against write-in candidate Cheyenne Brady-Mogle, rather than a Democrat.

The earlier claim that George T. Smith won District 4 in 2022 with 58% was incorrect. Official general-election results show Rob Feltner won with 43,470 votes, or 92.12%.

District 4 status checked October 8

The Supervisor of Elections now lists Feltner as elected in the primary, Dyer as defeated in the primary, and Brady-Mogle as withdrawn September 2. Natalie Allen, the listed Democratic candidate, did not qualify. The completed District 4 primary should not be treated as an upcoming race.

General-election guidance checked October 8

Brevard’s general election is November 3, 2026. Registration closed October 5. Early voting is October 19–31. The deadline to request that a mail ballot be sent is 5 p.m. October 22. Election Day polls are open 7 a.m.–7 p.m., and voters must use their assigned precinct.
